A journey around Laos

This photographic essay was produced between October and November 2015 throughout the Centre and North-West regions of Laos.

The purpose of the work is to record the effects exercised upon the people of Laos as a consequence of the industrial development of the country. Prominent to this is the dislocation of thousands of people from their rural areas into new specifically designed villages, with resulting losses for their land, traditions, and general means of living.
